In the middle of August, Pljevlja becomes a meeting place for lovers of tambura music! The Jubilee XX Tambura Music Festival "Heart and Soul of the Old Bazaar" brings three days filled with music, tradition and emotions, with a program that connects film art, tambura sounds and top performers. Organized by the Municipality of Pljevlja, JU Center for Culture Pljevlja, in cooperation with GTO Pljevlja, from August 13 to 15, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the special atmosphere of one of the most recognizable cultural manifestations of this region.
Festival program: • August 13: An evening of film art with a screening of the film "Stop the Danube and Old Pointers" • August 14 and 15: Festival evenings with performances by the Pljeval tambourines, La Banda, Zdravko Đuranović, Mustafa Šantić, Nina Strugar, Šukrija Žutog Serhatlić, Nino Veličkovski, Blanka Došen, Olivera Tičević, Mirko Rondović and numerous guests. The "Heart and soul of the old bazaar" festival is an opportunity to feel the spirit of tradition through music, get to know the cultural heritage of Pljevlja and enjoy the warm atmosphere of the city, which preserves a special connection with the sound of the tambourine.
