About the activity

Zipline is one of the most popular adrenaline activities in Montenegro and provides a unique feeling of flying over spectacular natural landscapes. Descending on a steel cable from one point to another allows participants to fly over canyons, rivers, lakes and mountain areas at high speed, with completely safe equipment and the supervision of licensed instructors. This activity does not require previous experience and is suitable for almost all visitors who want to experience Montenegro from a completely different perspective.

The most attractive zipline locations 1. Zipline on the Đurđevića Tara bridge The most famous zipline in Montenegro is located near the Đurđević Tara bridge, near Žabljak. The flight over the canyon of the Tara River, one of the deepest in Europe and part of the UNESCO protected area of the Durmitor National Park, offers an unforgettable combination of adrenaline and impressive views. There are several lines of different lengths and speeds at this location: Track length: From 350 m to over 1,000 m (including one of the longest ziplines in Europe). Maximum speed: Up to 50 km/h on the shorter, or up to 100 km/h on the longest cable. View: Impressive panoramic view of the bridge of Đurđević Tara and the emerald river Tara. 2. Zipline above Piva Lake Near Plužine there is a zipline that goes over the Piva lake. Flying over turquoise water, surrounded by high mountains and steep cliffs, offers a completely different experience compared to canyon zipline trails. Length of the track: About 1,400 m (the descent takes place in two phases or in one continuous long flight). Specialty: You fly directly above the water surface, and the color of the lake comes to the fore especially during sunny summer days. 3. Zipline Brajići - view of the Budva Riviera On the road between Budva and Cetinje, in Brajići, there is a zipline that offers a panoramic view of the Budva Riviera, Bečići and the open Adriatic Sea. Length of the trail: About 450 m. Special feature: It combines an adrenaline ride with the most beautiful view of the Montenegrin coast, and is especially attractive in the late afternoon and during sunset. 4. Zipline Lovćen and Njeguši In the area of Lovcen and Njeguš, visitors can try the zipline with a view of the Bay of Kotor. Length of the trail: About 400 m. Specialty: Although shorter than certain northern trails, the unique combination of a mountain setting and a dramatic view of Boka Kotorska makes it one of the most photographed locations in the country. Practical information and limitations Seasonality: Most zipline locations operate during the spring and summer months (from May to October), while operation depends on weather conditions (strong wind and rain temporarily suspend flights). Weight restrictions: The minimum weight for a solo rappel is usually around 35–40 kg, while the maximum allowed weight is generally up to 110–120 kg (depending on the technical specifications of the cable and equipment). Age limit and tandem flights: Children under the age of 7 or 8 are usually not allowed to fly alone, but most locations offer the possibility of tandem flights (a child's descent with an instructor or parent). Recommended equipment and footwear: It is mandatory to wear closed footwear (sneakers or hiking boots). Comfortable sports clothes are recommended. All personal items (phones, glasses) must be secured during the flight with tape or zipped pockets. Safety on the zipline Before the start of the ride, all participants undergo a short safety training during which the instructors explain the correct use of the equipment and how to perform the activity. Equipment includes: Certified safety belt (body belt), A protective helmet, High durability carabiner and pulley system, System for controlled and automatic or manual braking. The entire ride takes place under the constant supervision of trained and certified personnel, which makes this activity completely safe even for beginners. Why try zipline in Montenegro? Zipline in Montenegro offers a unique combination of adrenaline and exceptional natural landscapes. Whether you fly over the deep canyon of Tara, the calm turquoise waters of Piva Lake, the Budva Riviera or the Bay of Kotor, each location offers a different perspective and a special experience. Precisely because of the variety of terrain and spectacular viewpoints, zipline is one of the most attractive adventure activities that you can experience in Montenegro.
