On September 6, 2026, Danilovgrad will host the third international SAČ FEST, an event that brings together teams in the competition in preparing meat under the sač, with a rich program and socializing.
The festival program will last from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while teams will confirm their participation from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. For the preparation of the competition teams, the organizer provides a table and two benches or chairs for eight people, an umbrella where there is no natural shade, charcoal and five kilograms of veal.
Teams can count from three to eight competitors, and they can be made up of business entities or groups of citizens. Each team must have a name, a captain and T-shirts with the team's name printed on them, while competitors must provide their own bowls, plates, glasses and other equipment.
The prepared meat will be evaluated by a three-member commission of culinary arts professors, who will decide on the best culinary creations. In addition to the competition part, the teams can offer other dishes of local cuisine at their stands, which will give the festival additional gastronomic content.
SAČ FEST also has a humanitarian character, so the manifestation, apart from the gastronomic competition and socializing, will also have an important social dimension. The organizers invite lovers of local cuisine, gastronomy and good company to be part of the third international SAČ FEST in Danilovgrad.
