The canyon was officially conquered only in 1965 and is the last explored canyon on our continent. - The Ring of Durmitor is one of the most beautiful and attractive panoramic routes in the Balkans, which, with a length of about 76 to 85 kilometers, circles around the magnificent massif of the Durmitor mountain. The route is passable mainly from the second half of May to October, because snow deposits on certain parts of the mountain remain very late in the spring.
- Lake Pošćensko - a glacial lake located on the southeastern side of the Durmitor mountain, at an altitude of 1,487 meters above sea level. It represents one of the 18 famous Durmitor glacial lakes, which are popularly known under the poetic name "mountain eyes".
- Crnjak waterfall - is the main and most famous waterfall on the Bijela river, located in the village of Gornja Bijela in the municipality of Šavnik. It is located only a few hundred meters from the very source of the river, where clean and cold mountain water cascades down the rocks, creating an impressive two-pronged waterfall about 15 meters high. Next to the waterfall are the remains of an old mill (Crnjak), and the surroundings are rich in lush greenery and cold, drinkable spring water.
