The Morača River is one of the most important rivers of central Montenegro and one of the most recognizable natural symbols of Podgorica. After passing through Podgorica, Morača continues to the south and flows into Lake Skadar, ending its course. Its waters thus become part of the wider system of Lake Skadar and the Bojana River, which connects the lake to the Adriatic Sea.
