The performance "Jelena of Anjou" awaits the audience at the Nikšić Theater, which will be performed on September 1 at 8 p.m. in the Nikšić Theatre.
Based on a text by Jelena Kajgo, the play brings a poetic and powerful story about the life of Queen Jelena of Anjou, one of the most important women of the Serbian Middle Ages. Through her life and complex relationships within the Nemanjić family, themes of power, struggle for the throne, family conflicts, love, sacrifice and responsibility are revealed.
The direction and dramaturgy is by Tatjana Mandić Rigonat, while the play stars Marija Bergam, Nikola Milojević, Aleksandar Milojević, Anđela Kribl, Bogdan Milojević, Avram Cvetković and Miloš Pantelić.
Historical facts in the play are intertwined with poetic and symbolic elements, creating a stage work that takes the audience through the life and personality of Jelena Anžujska from a different perspective.
