On September 19, Kotor will host the IX International Art Festival "Shining Palaces", which brings together contemporary fine art and the unique ambience of the Old Town. The festival will be held on September 19, 2026, starting at 8:30 p.m., on the Square of Weapons in the Old Town of Kotor.
During the evening, the audience will have the opportunity to watch 18 independent audio-visual presentations by academic visual artists, which will be projected directly onto the facades of Kotor's palaces. In this way, the historic ambience of the Old Town will become a kind of open gallery of contemporary art.
18 artists from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Germany, Albania, Italy and France are participating in the festival.
The festival is organized by the City Gallery of Kotor, and the organizers invite citizens, guests of the city and all art lovers to attend this unusual cultural event and enjoy the combination of art, light and the ambience of Kotor's palaces.
