From August 1 to 3, Žabljak will host the 12th edition of the Green Montenegro International Film Fest, a unique manifestation that has been combining film art, nature and the promotion of sustainable development for years. The festival will be held in the surroundings of the Durmitor National Park, with outdoor screenings by the Black Lake, as well as in the Žabljak Culture Center.
During the three days of the festival, the audience can expect more than 40 films from 35 countries, distributed in the competition categories Ecology, Ecology of the Soul, Promotional Tourist Film and Student Film. In addition to film screenings, discussions with authors, workshops and other accompanying content dedicated to film, environmental protection and sustainable development will be organized. A special experience of the festival will be the evening screenings outdoors, on the shore of Black Lake, where the audience will watch the films with wireless headphones, which enables a completely different and unique cinema experience in the untouched nature of Durmitor. Entrance to the festival screenings and accompanying programs is free, and the organizers invite all lovers of film, nature and culture to be part of another edition of the festival and enjoy the unique combination of art and nature in Žabljak.
