The traditional summer event "Days of the Diaspora", sponsored by the Municipality of Rožaje, will be held this year in August, gathering a large number of emigrants and local residents. The central part of the event is the recognizable "Homeland Meetings" that celebrate the tradition, culture and economic potential of the Rožaje region through a multi-day program. The opening ceremony of the event is scheduled for August 2 at the City Square in Rožaje, and the program will begin with a big concert by the regional music star Džejla Ramović.
Program contents of the event: During the "Diaspora Day", local self-government and cultural institutions organize a rich and diverse content divided into several segments: Cultural and entertainment program: In addition to the central opening concert, the audience will have the opportunity to watch musical performances, folklore festivals and traditional literary promotions. Sports and recreation: For lovers of nature and active holidays, traditional hiking trips are organized through the untouched landscapes in the vicinity of Rožaje. Economy and Economy: Special emphasis was placed on the holding of Business Forums, which serve as a platform for connecting businessmen from the diaspora with local entrepreneurs and representatives of the municipality. Gastronomic and tourist offer: Visitors can enjoy the presentation of authentic dishes of the Rožaje region and the promotion of local tourist potentials. In addition to this central summer event, the local self-government continuously organizes smaller local meetings, thematic literary evenings and social meetings of pensioners throughout the year, with the aim of preserving unity and cultural heritage.
