On Sunday, October 18, Vrbanj will host the third Krtolijade, a manifestation that combines mountain nature, local cuisine and customs of this region.
Visitors can expect a walk along the Health Path, a competition in the preparation of rastan, fun games with the tuber and live music. All this in the environment of the Orjen Nature Park, where local traditions are best known through people, food and socializing.
Organization:
- 09:00h - gathering at the Info Center of the Orjen Nature Park,
- 11:00 a.m. - the beginning of the competition in the preparation of raštan,
- 12:00 pm - performance of the band Trio Mare,
- 1:00 p.m. - the Baton relay competition
- 14:00h - announcement of the winner for the best rastan
What makes Krtolijada special is not only its gastronomic program, but the place where it is held. Surrounded by the nature of Orjen, this event offers a different view of the hinterland of Herzegovina and reminds that the wealth of a region is not only found in its famous sights, but also in the daily customs that its inhabitants cherish.
Kartolijada is an opportunity to spend one October day in nature, get to know the flavors of the mountain region and become part of the fellowship that preserves the tradition of Orjen.
