39. Herceg Novi Film Festival - Montenegro Film Festival brings a film program on the open stage of the Forte Mare fortress from August 23 to 27.
The audience can expect a selection of new European and African productions that deal with contemporary social issues, human intimacy, dignity and solidarity. A special part of the program consists of the selection of the Network of Festivals of the Adriatic Region and the program "New African Voices", implemented in cooperation with international partners. On August 23, the program at Forte Mare opens with the film "Parallel Stories" by Iranian Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi, starring Isabelle Yper and Vincent Cassel. On the same evening, the regional co-production "Life in the Rhythm" by the Greek director Amerisa Basta, in which Montenegro also participates, will be shown. During the five festival evenings, Forte Mare will be a meeting place for filmmakers, audiences and valuable achievements of contemporary European and African cinematography.
