On July 17, 2026, our team from Iter Montenegro attended Šlaufijada in Berane, a traditional summer event that has been one of the most authentic symbols of life in the north of Montenegro for decades. Although this year's edition recorded a slightly more modest turnout of participants compared to previous years, Lim was once again the scene of great energy, laughter and recognizable local charm.
The program began at 5:00 p.m., when a colorful procession of adventurers on large sloops sailed down the rapids of the river. The traditional descent attracted the attention and support of numerous fellow citizens, who cheered on the participants from the shores and bridges, conveying the recognizable spirit of Beran hospitality. Good mood above the numbers Although the statistics this time were on the side of a more intimate atmosphere, it did not in the least affect the enthusiasm of the team on the water. The participants did not hide their great mood, and the entire manifestation took place in a maximum positive tone, without any problems and in a sign of sincere fellowship. For all lovers of nature, rivers and atypical adrenaline fun, this afternoon again offered the most beautiful thing - direct contact with nature and escape from the summer rut. A party on the plateau for the perfect end to the day After successfully mastering the river route, the festival energy moved to dry land. From 6 p.m., the program continued on the attractive plateau in front of Hotel Berane, which proved to be an excellent host for the final part of the event. Participants and visitors, with excellent music, refreshments and summarizing impressions from the river, continued socializing in a relaxed rhythm, enjoying a pleasant summer evening next to Lim. Room for improvement The general impression is that Šlaufijada has a huge touristic and traditional potential that deserves greater visibility. This year's smaller turnout on the water is a clear guideline for the next editions - the event needs stronger promotion and animation of both local and regional audiences, in order to return to its old glory in full capacity. Our conclusion Despite the numerically smaller composition, Šlaufijada from Beran justified its existence and showed that tradition and positive spirit are stronger than current challenges. Itera Montenegro carries great impressions from Lima, with the firm belief that next summer this authentic river adventure will attract a record number of lovers of summer joys in the north!
