From July 30 to August 1, Nikšić became the epicenter of the regional and domestic music scene, hosting the 17th edition of Bedem Fest. This summer, the festival brought a recognizable and authentic concept to the city under Trebjes, and the Itera Montenegro team brings you impressions from this extraordinary event that redefined the summer experience in the heart of Montenegro. The old walls of the Nikšić fortress, a historical symbol of the city, have been transformed into an impressive stage under the open sky. What especially delighted us was the unique and unrepeatable concept of the organizers, the complete fusion of the historical ambience with the raw energy of the alternative sound. The focus was exclusively on what is most important: top music, intimate atmosphere and closeness with the audience.
Statistics that speak louder than words The interest in this spectacle was huge while the stages were being prepared, gathering numerous loyal fans. During the three days of the 17th edition of the festival, from July 30 to August 1, the festival energy completely overwhelmed Nikšić: More than thousands of visitors walked along the old walls of the fortress. Over 20 performers and bands paraded through the festival program. A mix of generations filled the fortress from the first chord to the last. Soundscape and flow of the festival: Three evenings of different emotions The music program of the 17th Bedem Fest carefully followed the pulse of the audience and the energy of the space, bringing three evenings filled with different sounds, emotions and unforgettable moments. From the first beats to the last songs, the Nikšić fortress lived to the rhythm of the performers who shaped a unique festival story with their performances. First evening (Thursday, July 30): The ceremonial opening of the festival went to the performer Gianluca De Palo, who announced the beginning of another musical journey at Bedem. After that, the energy of the evening was continued by Jarboli, the always inspiring Zoster, the strong Eyesburn, and the authentic KOI KOI and Wiselj. Various musical expressions merged into one whole, and the audience showed from the very beginning that they were ready for three days of top festival atmosphere. Second evening (Friday, July 31): The second festival night brought a special blend of nostalgia, energy and recognizable regional sound. The program was opened by the guys from the band Off Duty, after which the walls of the Nikšić fortress echoed with the well-known hits of Neki to vole hot. A special stamp of the evening was left by Goran Bare and Majke, whose performance connected the audience with strong emotions and timeless songs. The atmosphere was further enriched by the members of Playboy, while the second night was closed by the striking Surreal, leaving the audience in rhythm until the very end. Third evening (Saturday, August 1): The final night brought a varied program and a particularly strong emotion. The evening was opened by Biljana Krstić with her recognizable combination of ethnic sound and tradition, after which Ida Prester and Lollobrigida brought a dose of cheerfulness, energy and dance rhythm. Special attention of the audience was attracted by the performance of Rundek Haustor & Ekipa, who, together with part of the original lineup of Haustor, performed songs that characterized the regional rock scene. After them, Voodoo Popeye continued the festival energy, while the final beat of this year's edition belonged to O.K.O.T. Each performance brought its own special story, and the direct communication between the performers and the audience created an atmosphere of togetherness in which every song was sung in unison. This closeness between the stage and the audience, along with the unique ambience of the Nikšić fortress, once again confirmed why Bedem Fest remains one of the most authentic musical experiences in the region. The art of inheritance in the old fortification A special visual and emotional stamp is given to the festival by the very area of the Bedem fortress, which serves as a permanent symbol of the cultivation of art and freedom. The combination of stone, history and modern music creates an inseparable whole, manifesting a soul that remains in the lasting memory of every visitor.
